Over the months April to July 2008 the second toboggan run of its kind in Slovakia from the renowned German company Wiegand took shape in the vicinity of the TELEMIX Nová hoľa cablecar station and the Husky aprés ski bar.

The bob run is on the right side of the Nová hoľa ski slope from Mišútska cesta, it zigzags its way down through the woods and after about 900m finally comes to its finish above the area that is used by the resort for the skating rink in winter. The whole ride in the special toboggan cars will give you an adrenaline rush thanks to the 7 jumps and 11 sharp corners. On the fastest sections of the track the cars can achieve a maximum speed of 45 km/h. So you will be able to compare your actual top speed with your friends there is a speed trap along the track that shows your top speed when you cross the finish line. And if you still need another dose of adrenaline, stay in your car and take the leisurely ride back up to the start on the 400m long lift.

It is strictly forbidden to come to a complete stop during the ride, respectively to get out of the car. The cars are capable of carrying two adult persons during the ride. The construction of the bob run also allows for use in the winter season thanks to the toboggan run having its own heating system along the entire track length.

Tickets for the bob run may be purchased from the ticket office on the car park by the Nová hoľa cablecar station. Single run tickets can be bought or a specially priced 5 run ticket, or use the points system tickets. Price of the various tickets can be found in the prices section on our website.

TOBOGGAN RUN OPERATING REGULATIONS
  • Using the toboggan run is at your own risk. Wear appropriate clothing. It is forbidden to use the toboggan run under the influence of alcohol or other narcotic substances. Thoughtless riding may cause injury. Always brake in time, and at the end of the run enter the braking track very slowly.
  • Ride at a speed that does not endanger yourself or others. Keep a distance of at least 25m between yourself and the rider in front of you. If you collide with the rider in front of you, you carry full responsibility for whatsoever results.
  • The operator reserves the right to stop operating and close the track in the event of high moisture, rainy weather or ground frost. Riding a wet track demands more care and is only possible with the additional wet weather brakes fitted. Keep at least 50m distance in wet conditions. Rainy conditions and increased wetness requires a longer braking distance and also causes crosswise “floating” of the toboggan.
  • It is forbidden to stop on the toboggan track!
  • Always sit in the direction of the ride – do not turn around. Respect the traffic signs and pay attention to the stretch of track in front of you (min. 25m)
  • Grip the brake in both hands. Do not touch the track or the underside of the toboggan during the ride.
  • Minimum age is 3 but children up to the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Children must sit in front and in such a way as to not obstruct the rider’s view of the track.
  • Keep to the specified or signalled starting intervals.
  • Respect the instructions of the operating personnel. You may be ejected from the track without the right to compensation if you do not respect the operating regulations!
  • Upon purchasing a ticket every visitor undertakes to respect and adhere to these operating regulations.
