 What you get

Fans of paragliding will learn the basics of parachute glide air piloting, the theory needed for secure flying, then they will be introduced to slope flying. The courses include basic information about parachute glide - preparation and unfolding, practice of different ways of false starting, flights at various heights, the practice of straight-line flight and landing, meteorology, and viewing videoprojection. The courses are in Slovak, German and English. Certain physical maturity is generally expected because the weight of paragliding equipment is cca. 8 kg.

A chair lift helps to overcome this load in an upward direction, and then you are just soaring above the grounds of Donovaly, 26 km from Banska Bystrica.Donovaly is also the site of the International Paragliding Championships because of the appropriate weather conditions.

The courses are designed either for holders of pilot certificates or for total beginners, and there is no need for previous experience with this sport.

 An airboard is an inflatable polyurethane board with grooves on the underside. A ride down a tobogan run (facing in the direction of the ride similar to the sledging discipline – skeleton) gives you an incredible adrenaline rush.

 It is a moderately difficult winter sport. Snowshoes can be used as a winter version of nordic walking. Energetic movement in deep snow gives an exhilarating experience. We recommend it as a supplement to other activities or as a means of getting to freeride terrain for airboarding.
